*The dômerie d’Aubrac, which was designed as a monastery cum hospital, was founded
in the XIIth century by a Flemish nobleman who wanted to provide welcoming and safe accommodation for Compostella pilgrims. The hotel was built on this site.

Built entirely of basalt and granite, stones typical of the Aubrac region,
